Lanzarote - One Of The Most Popular Canary Islands

Lanzarote is the fourth largest of the Canary Islands. The island itself has a very volcanic landscape due to the eruptions that occurred in the past. You will find brilliant sandy beaches in Lanzarote with low-rise accommodation so the view is not spoilt. A flight to Lanzarote will take around 4 and a half hours so the it is not long. Lanzarote is one of the most popular holiday destinations and when you visit you understand why. There is something for everyone to do both day and night and the sun shines daily. Many British travellers come to Lanzarote in both summer and winter, spending their Christmas\'s in warm weather. It is perfect for a holiday as the scenery is there and there is literally something for everyone. All types of travellers come to Lanzarote including couples, families and young groups. This is because there are resorts that cater to all of these people. As well as being a highly active country in some areas, Lanzarote also offers a lot scenery to tourists. There are trees and forests and mountains everywhere and beautiful, white beaches. It is a very volcanic island with a very volcanic scenery, with many volcanic rocks making up a lot of flower beds. Lanzarote - Plenty Of Attractions To See Both Day And Night

Lanzarote offers something for everyone both day and night. For those of you who enjoy water sports, Lanzarote is the place for you. You can try your hand at scuba diving where you can see all of the marine life as well as seeing the volcanic landscape under water. Windsurfing is another activity that has proved to be very popular over the years, especially in the warm waters of Lanzarote. If this isn\'t enough for you, then you can try snorkelling, sport fishing, jet-skiing, paragliding, or even rides on a banana boat. Sailing is also very popular and you can hire out boats to take out for the day. Lanzarote has many attractions for people to enjoy. Probably the most well known attraction is Timanfaya National Park. This is the area where over 100 volcanoes appeared on the island. To this day, just a few metres below the grounds surface you will find temperatures reaching up to 600°C, which is how many of the demonstrations then occur. There are many mini geysers and when water is poured down them, an eruption of steam comes up, proving how hot it is underground. Dry brush is also thrown into holes and immediately catches fire. There is a restaurant there should you want something to eat and a coach trip around the area is recommended as you receive an eye witness account of the eruptions that occurred on the island. There are many volcanic craters for you to see as well as taking camel rides around the volcanic areas. There are also many excursions on offer, such as submarine safaris which take you underwater to see the marine life. Glass bottom boats are also very popular with tourists. The Lanzarote theme park is the Rancho Texas Park which is perfect for families. As well as this, there is also an Aquapark in Costa Teguise that is enjoyed by families and young groups. There are many other activities that can take place in the resorts such as horse-riding, hiking and Jeep and camel safaris.



Lanzarote - A Wide Range Of Resorts To Visit

Lanzarote is full of bars and restaurants. You will find every cuisine imaginable here such as Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Italian, Canarian, English and American fast food. There really is something for everyone and everyone is well catered for. There are also many bars in Lanzarote offering live music, karaoke, cocktails and dance floors. Although Lanzarote is a lot calmer than Tenerife, there is still plenty to do in the evenings. There are clubs offering discos and live music until the early hours of the morning so young people can enjoy a long night out. Lanzarote offers duty free tax status meaning everything is a lot cheaper than back home. You will find a few shopping centres selling jewellery, perfume, electronics, clothing and souvenirs. There are also cafés in the shopping centres, should you need a refreshment. Public transport in Lanzarote is very good, with buses taking you to and from various resorts. Buses run 7 days a week from early morning until late evening. There are also taxis available so you can visit anywhere on the island.



Lanzarote - Brilliant Sunshine And Warm Temperatures Throughout The Year

Lanzarote weather is brilliant. There are over 300 days of pure sunshine a year which is why the country is so popular. August and September show the best weather, with temperatures at around 28°C and water temperatures are around 22°C. From June until August, you will find around 11 hours of sunshine a day with November only showing 6. The coldest months in Lanzarote are January and February, but still the temperature rarely falls below 21°C. There is little rain in Lanzarote as it is relatively flat, but when rain does occur, it is usually from November until March. During the summer, temperatures remain at a high of 20°C in the evening and in the winter that drop to around 12°C. There is a breeze that sweeps through the island and this effectively helps to maintain the temperatures and keep you comfortable in the heat.
