At Flightline we know how important it is for you, our customers to book with complete confidence that every aspect of your holiday is financially protected.

The Flightline Total Protection plan provides you with Total Financial Protection in the rare event of the corporate failure of your Travel Provider, giving you total peace of mind.

Unlike some online travel agents, our cover is not limited to Package Holidays. Every aspect of any booking with us is covered by Total Financial Protection. In simple terms this will not affect the stability of Flightline, as all our risks are insured.

This will enable us to make a new booking with an alternative Travel Provider so that you can continue with your travel plans.

The only exception to this is Charter Flights, which are covered by the CAA'S ATOL scheme when sold as a flight only.


How it Works

  • Is my booking protected?
  • Yes. With Total Financial Protection, all aspects of your booking are 100% protected.

  • How are Flight Only Bookings protected?
  • We sell three different types of flights, all of which are fully protected.
    • Scheduled flights - all scheduled flights available on this web site are fully protected via an insurance scheme arranged at the time of booking. We will re-book your flights with an alternative supplier to the value of £1,500 per person and then claim a refund from the designated insurance company.
    • Low Cost flights - all low cost flights available on this web site are fully protected via an insurance scheme arranged at the time of booking. We will re-book your flights with an alternative supplier to the value of £1,500 per person and then claim a refund from the designated insurance company.
    • Charter flights - all charter flights available on this web site when booked as a flight only are fully protected via the ATOL scheme operated by the Civil Aviation Authority ('CAA'). Refunds are provided by the CAA direct to you. If you are booking a charter flight as part of a Flightline Package Holiday then you are covered by our own ATOL '5458' and we are protected by the Total Financial Protection scheme.

  • How are Holiday Bookings protected?
  • All aspects of your Flightline holiday booking are fully protected by our own ATOL '5458' and we are protected by the Total Financial Protection scheme.

    If your holiday is with a major tour operator, such as Thomson or Thomas Cook etc. then you are fully protected via the ATOL scheme operated by the Civil Aviation Authority ('CAA'). Refunds are provided by the CAA direct to you.

  • How are Hotel Only Bookings protected?
  • All hotel bookings are fully protected. The option of transferring payment to another hotel booking will be offered where available, else you will receive a 100% refund.

  • How are other types of booking such as Car Hire, Airport Parking, Transfers etc. protected?
  • All the holiday extras sold on this site are also fully protected. The option of transferring payment to an alternative booking will be offered where available, else you will receive a 100% refund.

  • Am I protected if Flightline becomes insolvent?
  • Yes. In this unlikely circumstance, our ABTA & ATOL membership ensures that your booking will be covered.
