Where does Jerrais come from?
Jèrriais is the oldest link to original Norman English. It dates back to long before modern French or the English in which this is written. Jèrriais, spoken in Jersey is also known as Jersey French.

How many people speak Jerrais?
Jèrriais is currently undergoing somewhat of a revival by the Jersey people with about 2000 people speaking it fluently. It's also now taught in Jersey schools.
